South Asia Calling Festival

The South Asia Calling Festival takes place at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto from July 4 to July 6, 2014. South Asian music, dance, film, literature, cuisine and crafts will be showcased at the event.

Indian Summer Festival 2014

The Indian Summer Festival will take place from July 3 to July 12 and has a variety of events scheduled that showcase South Asian arts.

The festival begins with the opening gala at Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden and will be A Culinary Tour of Asia curated by Vikram Vij. Free events are also scheduled and include Summer in the Park, Storytelling Workshop, Hip Hop Yoga, Bollywood Grooves, Bhangra Moves and Spoken Word Workshop.

SAMHAA Forum 2014

The 2014 South Asian Mental Health Community Forum is scheduled for May 24 to May 25 in Surrey, British Columbia.

The event is free and open to everyone in your family and will include lunch and refreshments. Wellness workshops will feature meditation, yoga, nutrition, exercise and therapy. Presentations will be on a variety of topics including depression, ADHD and substance abuse.
